This is a blog about my teaching experiences with APS and UNM. I include links to my professional materials, lesson plans and student work. Enjoy!

Jefferson Middle School 2003-2007
I taught at Jefferson Middle School for three years. I taught 7th grade language arts in English and 7th and 8th grade Spanish for Bilinguals. At Jefferson, I developed my classroom management skills and worked with a diverse student population. I also learned a great deal about New Mexico culture and how to teach heritage Spanish speakers. I decided to leave Jefferson to challenge myself at teaching at the high school level. Click here to find out more about Jefferson Middle School. Some of the teachers that I worked closely with to develop curriculum and instructional methods were Maria Padilla-Enyart (enyart@aps.edu) and Kate Bloom (bloom@aps.edu)
